Girls' rugby development forum
OVER the last two seasons Devon RFU have held an annual women and girls’ forum to bring together representatives from clubs across the county to talk about issues facing them.
This year Devon will be holding separate women and girls' forums so that they can focus on specific issues to each.
All clubs will girls’ sections are being contacted to ask if they can register to attend the forum on Monday, January 13 at Topsham RFC (7pm).
The county are inviting coaches from all the girls’ teams to come along for the evening, with food being provided.
The agenda will be set closer to the time (based on feedback at registration), but potential items for discussion are:
- - Player development grants (process, outcomes and feedback)
- - Increasing recruitment and retention (pitch-up-and-play)
- - Club games - league structures, free weekends (across county) and play-offs
- - Coaching and coaches support and training
- - U11s Girls’ Fixtures
- - Club Clusters
- - Representative Rugby
All clubs are asked to register to attend via THIS LINK and send along a coach to the evening.
Please make sure you register who is coming so there is sufficient catering.
You can also put forward any suggestions for items for discussion via the link so they can be added to the agenda.
If anyone has any questions in advance of the meeting then should email Amy Gillard at firstname.lastname@example.org .
