England star visits her former club to help inspire current players
LAGI TUIMA flew out to Canada with the England Women’s Under-20 squad at the weekend.
However, before she went the utility back, who has five senior England caps to her name, visited her former club Devonport Services to help inspire their current crop of young female players.
Tuima offered some coaching advice and tips and also joined in a session.
She had also returned to her club at the end of last season to present awards.
Devonport Services are now able to offer rugby for all levels of men and women from minis to veterans.
This coming season they will have a senior women’s team playing in South West South Two. It follows a successful Inner Warrior programme last summer.
Tuima played for their under-18 team a couple of years ago before going on to play for Plymouth Albion and Bristol.
She is joined in the England Under-20 squad to tour North America by fellow Devon-based players Hollie Cunningham, Lili Goddard and Brooke Bradley.
The national team will play two Test matches against Canada and one against the USA. The first match will be on Friday at Acadia University.
