OPM to hold under-12 taster day as they look to start new team

OLD Plymothian and Mannamedian (OPM) are keen to reinstate a missing age group in their junior section.

The Plymouth club have junior teams from under-sevens through to under-13 and want to complete the full set.

The new side will be built totally from scratch - there will not be any existing players.

To help them achieve that they will be holding a taster session for Year 7 pupils at King George V Playing Fields in Elburton this Sunday (October 15) at 10am.

The session will be run by Devon RFU community coach Mike Lewis and is open to complete beginners.

OPM did have an under-12 side last year (pictured) but they have now moved up to under-13 level.

Anyone who is interested in joining the club or trying Sunday’s taster rugby day, should contact 07905 447323.
