Exmouth enjoyed a successful pitch-up-and-play session

EXMOUTH RFC enjoyed an encouraging first pitch-up-and-play session of the 2017/18 season.

The event at Imperial Recreation Ground attracted a number of junior coaches, some former Exmouth players and even three brothers.

Everyone who took part enjoyed the run out - and also some chilli and beers in the clubhouse afterwards.

It was one of 14 official Devon RFU pitch-up-and-play sessions organised for the 2017/18 season.

The next one will be on Wednesday, October 18 at Paignton RFC.

There will also be another one at Exmouth in November 10.

Pitch-up-and-play events are aimed at over-18 men who are:-

·         New to the game

·         Returning to rugby after a long period of not playing

·         Old (typically over-40)

·         Social (don’t have the time, desire or ability to play league or merit table rugby)
