Pitch-up-and-play sessions announced for Plymouth

07 Sep 2017 11:44 | Sara Raine

THE Plymouth & West Devon region will be holding two pitch-up-and-play sessions in October and November.

Both will be hosted by Devonport Services and will take place on a Monday evening on the floodlit 3G pitch at Keyham.

The sessions are for anyone who is new to the game, returning to rugby after a long-time out, veterans (typically over-40) or just social players who don’t have the time, desire or ability to play league or merit table rugby.

There is no need to get a team together (but it’s great if you can) – just turn up with your boots, shorts, socks and a gum shield and teams will be sorted on the night. The laws will be adjusted to suit the age, experience and abilities of the players.

A few drinks and food will be provided after the games courtesy of Devon RFU.

More details can be obtained from either Rob Masters (robmasters@rfu.com) or Mike Lewis (michaellewis@rfu.com).
