The Rugby Europe Sevens Grand Prix Series will return to Exeter in July 2017 for the third time.

The Mitsubishi Motors Exeter 7s will be held on July 15 and 16 at Sandy Park.

Run in partnership with Exeter City Council, the event is for all the family.

Thousands of fans have watched the Europe’s top seven players at Sandy Park in the last two year, but 2017’s event is set to be even bigger and better.

Following the introduction of rugby sevens into last year’s Olympic Games in Rio, the sport’s popularity continues to grow.

Sevens events around the world have gained a reputation for having a feel-good carnival atmosphere, and the Mitsubishi Motors Exeter 7s promises to deliver this once again.

The Exeter round will be the final stage of the Rugby Europe Sevens Grand Prix Series 2017.

The series starts in Russia on June 3 and 4 and then moves to Poland the following weekend (June 10/11).

There are 12 teams taking part in the tournament and a full schedule of events will be confirmed at a later date.
