Cullompton impress at Devon Under-14 Festival hosted by Plymstock Albion Oaks

CULLOMPTON stole the show at the Devon Under-14 Festival hosted by Plymstock Albion Oaks on Sunday.

The Stafford Park club entered two sides and they both reach the main final at Horsham Fields.

In an entertaining final, Cullompton’s X team triumphed over their Y side 29-17 thanks to two tries in the final two minutes.

Both Cullompton outfits had overcome Topsham opposition in the semi-finals.

The Plate competition was won by Torquay Athletic, who overcame Plymouth Argaum 49-10 in the final.

Torquay had beaten Barnstaple 47-7 in their Plate semi-final, while Argaum had overcome their city rivals Plymstock Albion Oaks 26-15 in their semi.

Devonport Services Dreadnoughts claimed the Shield title, beating Crediton 41-17 in the final.

Services’ had narrowly beaten Okehampton 29-21 in the semi-finals, while Crediton had overcome Teignmouth 24-12 in the last four.

Plymstock Albion Oaks welcomed 21 teams from all around the county to a sunny Horsham Fields on Sunday.
