Withycombe's youngsters are cycling 1,000 miles for mental health charity
MEMBERS of Withycombe’s under-15 side are taking to their saddles to raise money for the charity YoungMinds
After a series of lockdown challenges, the side are taking on a mammoth test in the name of charity.
The boys are currently donning their cycling gear, dusting off the bikes and cycling a cumulative total of an impressive 1,000 miles - the equivalent distance from Raleigh Park to Dundee and back.
They are attempting to do it in five days and hope to finish on Sunday.
The players are hoping to raise £1,000 for children’s mental health charity YoungMinds.
YoungMinds are the UK’s leading charity fighting for children and young people's mental health. Their website states one in eight children have a diagnosable mental health disorder – that’s roughly three children in every classroom (Source NHS Digital).
The team have already raised nearly £800 but hope to increase that by Sunday.
