Devon U20s focused on the challenge of facing Gloucestershire away
DEVON play their second match in the Jason Leonard Under-20 County Championship on Sunday when they travel to Cheltenham to take on Gloucestershire.
The young Green and Whites got their campaign off to a great start at the end of last month when they beat Cornwall 30-18 at Ivybridge.
That sees them top the Division One Pool Four table. However, Gloucestershire are second, level on points with Devon, after they opened their season with a 30-24 victory away at Berkshire.
Devon’s head coach Nathan Gosling said: “The Cornwall game is now a distant memory and the whole squad has been totally focused on the challenges that Gloucestershire will present this weekend.
“I could not be prouder of this whole staff and players who have worked incredibly on our game and administrative organisation.
“The players are closer and growing as a group. We have all been learning, improving our games individually and as a team. Everyone without exception has stepped up over the past two weeks.
“We all go into the game really excited and totally concentrated on our jobs and fully prepared and in a position to thoroughly embrace the experience.”
