SOS Kit Aid looking for unwanted rugby kit

01 Oct 2019 00:17 | Devon RFU

DARTMOUTH-based Phil Forgham has become the new SOS Kit Aid collector for Devon.

SOS Kit Aid helps make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged youngsters and adults overseas, by collecting and sending unwanted rugby kit all over the world - namely shirts, shorts, boots, trainers, Rugby balls, kitbags, tackle bags etc.

It is a not-for-profit charity, which is supported by World Rugby, as well as many leading players, clubs in the UK and some of the top sports kit manufacturers.

A number of Devon clubs and schools have previously donated unwanted kit and seen it proudly warned overseas, but the organisation is hoping even more will get involved.

Forgham said: “Not only would this benefit disadvantaged youngsters and adults overseas, but it would also benefit the environment, since much of the unwanted kit would either be burned or sent for disposal in landfill sites.”

If any clubs, schools or players have unwanted kit they want to donate they can find out more information at www.soskitaid.com or email Phil Forgham at forgham@msn.com
