DEVON player John Kelly will start England Counties’ second game against a Georgia XV on Tuesday in Tblisi (3pm BST).

Kelly was an unused replacement in the opening match of the tour, which England won 28-15 after a late interception try by Durham’s Callum MacKenzie sealed the contest.

Surrey’s Greg Lound had put England 6-0 ahead with two penalties before Georgia went 8-6 in front.

England restored their lead with a try by Nick Hankin, which was followed by one from Kieran Moffar.

Shortly after the break Georgia crossed the whitewash to reduce the deficit to just three points as momentum swung in their favour.

But England showed real resilience in defence having been put under pressure by the Georgians but Lound was again on target with a penalty.

Mackenzie was on hand again for lovely intercept to score the final try of the game with the score finishing 28-15.

Devon should have had two representatives in the squad, but, as reported last week, fly-half Dan Mugford was sent home due to injury before the first match was even played.
