HERE was frustration for two Devon schools in national competitions on Wednesday.
Blundell’s School narrowly lost 34-29 to Dulwich College in the Champions Trophy final at Saracens’ Allianz Park, while Mount Kelly missed out on reaching the semi-finals of the National Schools’ Bowl with a 31-15 defeat to Surrey side St George’s Weybridge. READ FULL STORY HERE
DEVON Under-15 girls finished their South West Counties’ campaign with a 100 per cent record thanks to 38-0 victory over Cornwall at Drybrook.
The win followed on from successes over Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire and meant they finished as the top side in the South West.

DEVON Under-15 girls will attempt to finish their season with a 100 per cent record on Sunday when they play Cornwall at Drybrook.
The young Devon side have so far overcome Oxfordshire 22-0 and Gloucestershire 36-12 in their opening two South West Counties’ fixtures.

THE next training session for the Devon Schools’ Under-16 extended training squad will be held on the new artificial pitch at the Exeter College Hub, Exwick (EX4 2BQ) on Tuesday, 12 December 2017 from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
A matchday squad for the first game v Somerset (away) on Sunday, January 7, 2018 will be selected after the training session. READ FULL STORY HERE
THERE was mixed fortunes for Devon’s under-15 and under-18 girls’ teams in their matches against Oxfordshire at Camborne on Sunday.
The under-15 side made it two wins out of two in this year’s campaign with a 22-0 success. The under-18s, though, after beating Gloucestershire 62-12 in their last match were overcome 31-7 by a strong Oxfordshire side in Cornwall. FULL STORY HERE
EIGHT players are set to make their debuts as Devon Under-15 girls play their second match of the season against Oxfordshire at Camborne on Sunday (1pm).
Devon opened their South West Counties’ campaign with a 36-12 win over Gloucestershire at the end of last month. The Green and Whites make changes to their team for this weekend’s game, which will mean that all 30 members of their 2017/18 squad will have been involved in their first two fixtures. Training for the Devon Schools' extended training squad will be held on Mondays, November 13 and 27, 2017, at Exmouth.
All players in the Extended Training Squad are to attend the first training session on Monday, November 13, 2017. However, the number of players invited to the second training session on Monday, November 27, 2017 may be reduced.
