DEVON Schools’ Under-15s have named their teams to play Bristol & Avon Under-15s at Ivybridge RFC on Sunday.
The B team game will be played first at 2pm. Players featuring in that fixture are asked to meet at 12.30pm.
The A team fixture will kick-off at 3.30pm and players selected for that match are asked to meet at 2pm. FULL STORY HERE
DEVON Schools’ Under-15s made an encouraging start to their season on Sunday when they hosted Somerset at Mount Kelly College.
Devon’s A team narrowly lost 14-10 in a tight match where both teams scored two tries apiece. However, Devon’s B side were dominant in their game and ran out 40-19 winners. REPORT AND PICTURES HERE
DEVON Schools’ Under-15s have confirmed their training dates and wider squad for their forthcoming fixtures.
The squad will train on the Fridays before their Sunday matches.
Devon’s first game will be against Somerset on Sunday, March 17, at Mount Kelly College. They will then play Bristol at Ivybridge on Sunday, March 31, before concluding their fixtures with a trip to Cornwall on Sunday, April 14. FULL DETAILS HERE
DEVON Schools’ Under-15s have named a provisional squad for their forthcoming matches following trials last Sunday.
An update squad and all information about training is expected to be announced earlier next week, but the Devon Schools’ management were keen to give parents and players as much time as possible to make arrangements and order kit.
Devon’s first game will be against Somerset on Sunday, March 17 at Mount Kelly College. They will then play Bristol at Ivybridge on Sunday, March 31 before concluding their fixtures with a trip to Cornwall on Sunday, April 14. FULL STORY HERE
DEVON Schools’ under-16s finished their county season on Sunday against Dorset and Wiltshire with the honours even at Ivybridge RFC.

DEVON U16s Boys will be training at Keyham 3G in Plymouth (PL2 1QT) on Friday between 2 -4 pm.
Due to a lack of available floodlit pitches to train on, the coaches are prepared to run the training session during the day as its half-term.

Devon Under-16 matches with Cornwall and training postponed
DEVON Schools’ Under-16s match against Cornwall at Callywith College in Bodmin on Sunday has been postponed due to the bad weather.
Cornwall made the decision on Friday lunchtime.
In light of this, Devon have cancelled training at Keyham tonight (Friday).
Can anyone who knows any players in the squad please let them know.
DEVON Schools’ RFU have been forced to change their plans for their under-15 trials due to the large number of nominations.
With the number of nominations reaching 100, Devon have decided that it is going to take more time and resources to look at players.
Do achieve this, the trials will be moved to Sunday, February 24, at the Royal Navy 3G pitch at Keyham in Plymouth (PL2 1QT). They will take place between 1-4pm. FULL STORY HERE

The B team match will kick-off at 1pm, with the A fixture starting at 3pm.

THE Devon Schools’ Under-15 trials will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Exwich Sports Hub.
However, there has been a change to the times and format of the evening for players who have been nominated by their schools.
The trials for nominated players will now take place between 6pm and 7.30pm, with DDP boys assessed from 7.30pm. FULL STORY HERE

DEVON Schools’ under-16 A team got their season off to a winning start with a 16-10 victory over Somerset A at Ivybridge RFC.

DEVON Schools’ under-15s ended their season on Sunday with two games against Cornwall at Keyham.
A number of players were unavailable due to club tours and holidays, but that did not seem to affect the Devon B team, who defeated Cornwall 38-24.

DEVON'S under-15 A and B teams enjoyed mixed fortunes when they travelled to the brand new Lockleaze sports facility to take on Bristol Schools.
Devon’s B team won 22-12, but the A side narrowly lost 24-17 after conceding a try with the last play of the game. FULL REPORT HERE

DEVON Schools’ under-15 A team opened their season with an impressive 29-19 victory against a strong Somerset side at Keynsham on Sunday.
The visitors produced a fine all-round team performance that was built on a dominant set piece.

DEVON Schools’ Under-15s have named an initial training squad of 62 players ahead of their opening matches against Somerset on March 11.
From that squad, Devon will select 44 to play for either their A or B teams at Somerset.

THERE was mixed fortunes for Devon Schools’ Under-16s in their final games of the season against Dorset & Wiltshire at Trowbridge RFC.
The B team played first and after conceding an early try fought back with a spiritedand skilful performance to win an exciting encounter 31-28. However, Devon’s A side were unable to finish their season unbeaten and suffered a 45-24 loss to a strong Dorset & Wiltshire side. FULL DETAILS HERE

THE date for the Devon Schools’ Under-15 boys’ trials has had to be changed.
The trials were initially due to take place on Tuesday, February 13, but they will now take place seven days later on Tuesday, February 20 (registration time is 9.45am). FULL STORY HERE
DEVON Schools’ under-16 teams enjoyed mixed fortunes on Sunday against Gloucestershire in wet conditions at Keyham.
The Devon A team produced a crisp and accurate display to score two tries in each half to beat their opponents 24-7.
However, the Devon B team suffered their first defeat of the season when they were narrowly beaten 15-10 by Gloucestershire in a spirited game that could have gone either way. MORE INFORMATION HERE
UFFCULME School’s under-15 team will get the chance to play at a Premiership ground on Tuesday afternoon.
The Devon side have reached the quarter-finals of the NatWest Under-15 Vase where they have been drawn away to Beechen Cliff.
However, instead of playing the match on their own fields, Beechen Cliff have arranged for the cup tie to be played at Bath Rugby’s Rec ground. FULL STORY HERE
UNFORTUNATELY, due to unforeseen circumstances, Wednesday’s training session (January 17) for Devon Schools’ Under-16 rugby squad at Keyham has had to be cancelled.

DEVON Schools’ Under-16 A and B teams both secured last minute narrow victories in two evenly contested games against Somerset in the opening games of this season’s county campaign.

HERE was frustration for two Devon schools in national competitions on Wednesday.
Blundell’s School narrowly lost 34-29 to Dulwich College in the Champions Trophy final at Saracens’ Allianz Park, while Mount Kelly missed out on reaching the semi-finals of the National Schools’ Bowl with a 31-15 defeat to Surrey side St George’s Weybridge. READ FULL STORY HERE
DEVON Under-15 girls finished their South West Counties’ campaign with a 100 per cent record thanks to 38-0 victory over Cornwall at Drybrook.
The win followed on from successes over Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire and meant they finished as the top side in the South West.

DEVON Under-15 girls will attempt to finish their season with a 100 per cent record on Sunday when they play Cornwall at Drybrook.
The young Devon side have so far overcome Oxfordshire 22-0 and Gloucestershire 36-12 in their opening two South West Counties’ fixtures.
