DEVON Under-15 girls impressed again in their second South West festival, which was staged Downside School in Somerset.
It was their second festival and repeated the format from the first at Tavistock RFC where they played round robin 15-a-side games in the morning before partaking in a small sevens tournament in the afternoon.
Once again Devon proved their strength in the 15-a-side format winning all three of their games against local rivals Cornwall, Somerset and Gloucestershire, just like they had done at Tavistock. FULL REPORT HERE
DEVON under-15 girls got their season underway with a festival against Cornwall, Somerset and Gloucestershire at Tavistock RFC.
This season the RFU have introduced a compulsory two-format festival approach with the girls partaking in 15-a-side games and also sevens matches.
Devon split their 32-player squad across both formats, with rotation occurring in future festivals to ensure opportunity across both the 15-a-side and sevens games. FULL STORY HERE
THE Devon under-15 girls’ side will kick-off their season on Sunday at Tavistock RFC when they host the first the first of three South West festivals.~
The event at Sandy Park will see the teams play a 15-a-side round-robin competition in the morning followed by a sevens tournament in the afternoon.

DEVON Under-15 girls finished their South West Counties’ campaign with a 100 per cent record thanks to 38-0 victory over Cornwall at Drybrook.
The win followed on from successes over Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire and meant they finished as the top side in the South West.
Impressively, the team have only conceded 12 points in all three of their matches this season. FULL REPORT HERE
Devon Under-15s make it two wins out of two
THERE was mixed fortunes for Devon’s under-15 and under-18 girls’ teams in their matches against Oxfordshire at Camborne on Sunday.
The under-15 side made it two wins out of two in this year’s campaign with a 22-0 success. The under-18s, though, after beating Gloucestershire 62-12 in their last match were overcome 31-7 by a strong Oxfordshire side in Cornwall. FULL STORY HERE
EIGHT players are set to make their debuts as Devon Under-15 girls play their second match of the season against Oxfordshire at Camborne on Sunday (1pm).
Devon opened their South West Counties’ campaign with a 36-12 win over Gloucestershire at the end of last month. The Green and Whites make changes to their team for this weekend’s game, which will mean that all 30 members of their 2017/18 squad will have been involved in their first two fixtures. THE Devon under-15 girls’ squad to face Gloucestershire on Sunday has been named.
